To provide designated services with the highest level of housekeeping and cleanliness. Ensuring service users are treated with respect, dignity and in a way that enables and promotes their independence as individuals.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To work within a designated service/s for adults with epilepsy and complex needs.
- To polish, disinfect, vacuum and mop floors where appropriate.
- To ensure that all Health and Safety aspects are considered at all times.
- To work closely with the Service Manager as appropriate.
- To respect the rights of service users in whose home you are working.
- To apply some flexibility in the timing of cleaning according to the needs of the service.
- To ensure that all areas are left in a neat, tidy, hygienic and safe condition.
- To ensure that you are aware of all Health and Safety regulations including those affecting safety, storage, cleanliness, physical safety, appropriate clothing, client and staff safety.
- To ensure that adequate cleaning products are available in order to do necessary duties.
- To liaise with the shift leader or Manager to ensure adequate money is available in order to purchase cleaning products according to and within the agreed budget.
- To ensure that Independence Homes Equal Opportunities policy is upheld.
- To comply with policy and procedures at all times.
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to work with clients who have epilepsy and severe learning disability
- Awareness of all Health and Safety regulations
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Organisational, time management and planning skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- 100% in Medical & Written Tests.
- To comply at all times with the company’s policies and procedures.
- To undertake any other duties appropriate to the position as required.
