A study has recently been published by the medical journal ‘Epilepsy and Behaviour’. The study was carried out by the Brazilian Global Campaign. The purpose was to identify people's reactions to different terminology used to describe people with epilepsy.

In January, Independence Homes decided to get a dog. After talking to service users it became apparent that many had pet dogs previously and would love the opportunity to help look after a dog again.

You may have seen in recent news reports about added pressure on the NHS due to bed blocking. The delay in discharging patients from hospital is costing the NHS £900million a year.

A new way to research epilepsy has been created via an app on the Apple Watch™ called ‘EpiWatch’. This has been designed by John Hopkins Medicine to enable members of the public with epilepsy to take part in collecting information for their research.
