It is well known that stress can be a trigger of seizures in people with epilepsy but until now it has never been fully understood why it happens, and how it can be prevented.

New guidance has been published for community nurses to help support homeless people who have epilepsy.

The Prescription Exemption Checking Service, run by the NHS Business Services Authority, carry out random retrospective checks to verify claims for free prescriptions and where a patient has claimed incorrectly, they recover unpaid charges.
